Sylvain aka Synckop was born in 1981. A graduate of the Lycée Corvisart des Arts Graphiques in Paris, his practice of graphic design has enabled him to develop a unique approach, and he also teaches graphic design in Paris.
He has developed his own visual aesthetic, combining digital modernity with the sensitivity of handwork to create hybrid images imbued with psychedelic, melancholic, organic, geometric and abstract ideas.

With this method, the boundaries between his commissions and his personal research are constantly shifted.

This personal approach has brought him recognition and numerous collaborations, including with :
Warner Music France, Verycords, Christian Dior, Le festival des Indisciplinées de Lorient, Les Francofolies de la Rochelle, le café de la Danse, Kongfuzi Booking, Noise Magazine (New noise Mag), Mass Hysteria, No One Is Innocent, PHOBOS, Ingrina, Senser, Saycet, Merzbow, Kulte.

Alongside these commissions and experiments, he also works on limited series of screen-printed concert posters for artists such as :
Deafheaven, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Metz, The Melvins, A Place to bury strangers, Barn Owl, The Notwist…
